Our houses
Vimmerby Stugby consists of 7 cozy cottages with 4–6 beds.
Three of the cottages are located adjacent to a working farm, while the remaining cottages are situated on a scenic meadow nearby.
All cottages are fully equipped with modern kitchens and bathrooms with shower and toilet. Each cottage has its own private patio with garden furniture and a private barbecue. Some of the cottages also feature a sauna and a fireplace, with free access to firewood.
The area
Vimmerby Stugby is beautifully located in the countryside, surrounded by forests, meadows, and the characteristic Småland landscape. Here you can enjoy peace and tranquility, with nature right outside your door. On the property there is a wood-fired sauna, a boules court, a football field, and a nature trail through the forest. During the summer months, horses and sheep graze in the adjacent meadows, and there is also a riding school nearby.
The cottage village is open year-round and is equally well suited for relaxation, nature experiences, and family holidays – in every season.
Environment
Near Vimmerby Stugby you will find everything you need for a pleasant stay. A small grocery store is located about 3 kilometers from the cottage village, and within a few kilometers there are several swimming areas, including a municipal bathing site with piers – perfect for warm summer days.
For those who enjoy fishing, there are excellent opportunities in nearby lakes. Guests can rent a boat and fish in the surrounding waters, offering great possibilities for relaxing nature experiences.
A popular excursion destination is the narrow-gauge railway, where you can ride a railbike (draisine) or take the charming narrow-gauge train between Tuna, Västervik, and Hultsfred – a much-appreciated experience for the whole family.
During the winter season, cross-country skiing is available, both on locally prepared tracks and on illuminated trails in the area. In Tuna, there is also an outdoor gym for those who want to combine nature experiences with exercise all year round.
